How the loop works.

Five steps. You do the first three once. The last two keep happening on their own, which is why the free plan is free: every page with a list sends people to other pages.

Why a list, and why this one

The pros who get the most referrals are the ones who send the most. It works both ways: send someone work often enough and they start sending it back.

Most referral lists are stuck on a website and years out of date, so nobody sends them. On hasfriends, each pro keeps their own page current, so your list stays right without you touching it, and everyone on it knows you listed them.

Claim your page

Your business name, your name, trade, phone and email. Pick an address: yourname.hasfriends.app. It takes about a minute and there's no card.

If a friend already added you, the page is waiting with their details on it. Claim it, fix what's wrong, and your details update everywhere you're referred. Not your business? One tap and it comes down.

The link block on your dashboard. Copy it, text it, or show the code.

Add the pros you refer

The plumber, the florist, the guy who does drywall. Group them your way (“Venues & rentals”, “When I'm booked”) and put them in the order you'd say them out loud.

For each one, write the line you'd say to a client: why you send people to them. That line is public. The violet note underneath is private, for you alone.

They don't need an account. Add someone by name and phone and they get an invite to claim their own free page. Free shows your top 5; Pro shows the whole list.

Your list, your categories, your words. The violet note is yours alone.

Send the link

By text, on the back of your card, or as a QR on the truck and the window. The print kit gives you the code at business-card, sticker and decal size, black on white so it scans dirty.

When a client asks “do you know someone who…?”, you send one link instead of three phone numbers, and it has your name on it.

The print kit: business card, window sticker or truck decal. Black on white, so dirt on a truck doesn't break it.

What the client sees

The trust moment.

Your page opens on your name and three ways to reach you. Under it, the people you vouch for, each with your line about them. A tap on any of them asks you to make the introduction; you get both names, they get yours.

  • The blue dot: they claimed their page and stand behind it.
  • Not claimed yet: shown quieter, with the phone number you entered.

They list you back

Everyone you add gets an email saying you listed them, and an invite to claim their page. When they add you, your name, trade and phone are on their page, with their words about you.

You're told every time someone lists you. Don't want to be on a list? Hide yourself from it in How you're listed, and we don't tell them. You can also set new listings to wait for your approval.

You, on a friend's page: your name, your trade, and their line about you.

Their clients find you

Someone on a friend's page taps your name and asks for an intro. You get their name, number and what they need, with your friend's name on it. On Free that arrives by email. On Pro it also lands in your Inbox, next to messages sent from your own page, and you mark each one Contacted or Booked so you can tell where your work comes from.

Nobody is bidding, nobody is ranked, and nobody pays for placement. The person who reached out already heard your name from someone they trust.

The Inbox on Pro: every introduction and message in one place, with who sent them.

On your phone

Where a texted link opens.

Everything here works in your phone's browser today: your page, your list, your Inbox, the print kit. The hasfriends app for iPhone and Android is on its way, and adds three things the browser can't: photos straight from the job onto your page, your phone's share sheet, and a push notification when someone reaches out.

In the app, a push notification when someone reaches out. Tap it and you're in the Inbox.

Start with the page. The list takes ten minutes.
