Terms

hasfriends.app and the hasfriends apps (“hasfriends”) are run by Simple City Software, LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating a page, sending a message, or otherwise using hasfriends, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use hasfriends.

Who we are

hasfriends is a page for your business and a list of the pros you'd refer, plus the introductions and messages that come from it. These terms govern your use of hasfriends.app, any name.hasfriends.app storefront, and the hasfriends iOS and Android apps.

Who can use hasfriends

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be creating or managing a page for a real business you own or run — a sole proprietorship, an LLC, whatever it is, as long as it's actually yours.
• You're responsible for anything done under your account, so keep your sign-in email secure.

Your page and your address

• One business, one page. Create or claim a page only for a business you own or run — not a competitor's, not a client's, not one you used to work for.
• Your name.hasfriends.app address is yours while your account is open. If you delete your account, we hold it for 30 days before anyone else can take it, in case you change your mind or come back.
• Don't claim, or try to claim, a page that isn't your business. If you do, we'll take it down.
• Don't impersonate another business, person, or hasfriends itself.

Your content

You own what you put on your page — your business details, photos, video, About section, and anything else you upload. By posting it, you give us the license we need to store it, display it on your page and (where you choose) on other pages that list you, and show it to people who search for or visit your page. You can remove or change it any time, and deleting your account removes it from public view.

You're responsible for what you say about your business, including any claims about your licenses, certifications, or insurance. Don't claim a credential you don't have.

Referral lists and vouches

• A listing is your own recommendation — you're adding a business you'd actually send your own clients to, under a category you choose, in the order you choose.
• You can add a short public “why” line explaining why you send people there. It's shown in your own words, on your page and on the listed business's page, exactly as you wrote it. Nobody, including the business you're listing, can edit your words.
• Only list a business you actually know and would refer real clients to. Don't add listings to promote yourself or trade for a listing back.
• A business you list can hide itself from your list at any time, without telling you, and can hide any single “why” line written about it. A business can also require it approve new listings before they show.
• Anyone can report a listing or a page that looks wrong; see “Moderation” below.

Introductions and messages

• When someone fills out your contact form, or asks to be introduced to a business through a list they're on, we pass their name, the contact details they gave us, and their message to that one business only. They confirm they're agreeing to this each time, before we send anything.
• We're a go-between for that introduction. We're not a party to any conversation, quote, job, or agreement that follows, and we don't guarantee that any introduction turns into work.
• A business can block a sender, turn off its contact form, or limit messages to people referred by someone on hasfriends.

Pro

• Free gets you a page and your top 5 listed friends, forever, at no cost. Pro adds your full, unlimited friends list; a contact form on your page; every introduction delivered to your Inbox; and your About section, photos, video, accent color, and page views.
• Pro costs $25 a year when you subscribe on the web, billed through Stripe. In the iOS app, Pro is billed through the App Store at the price shown there, which may differ from the web price.
• Pro renews automatically each year until you cancel. To cancel a web subscription, use the billing portal from your Plan page. To cancel an iOS subscription, use Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Canceling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active through the period you already paid for.
• If a renewal payment fails, we'll try again for up to 14 days before Pro ends. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple, under Apple's own refund policy — we can't issue those refunds ourselves. For refunds on a web subscription, contact us at hello@hasfriends.app.
• When Pro ends, nothing is deleted. Your page stays up on Free: your first 5 friends keep showing, in your order, and the rest are saved and come back automatically if you renew. Your contact form turns off, but introductions from lists you're on keep arriving by email.
• Founding-member Pro and any other comped or promotional time we give you is a courtesy, not a purchase. We may end a comped period, or the program that granted it, at any time; when a comped period ends the same “when Pro ends” rules above apply.

Acceptable use

Don't use hasfriends to:

• Send spam, or use our forms to send unsolicited messages unrelated to a real introduction.
• Scrape pages, or collect people's contact details from hasfriends for any purpose other than getting in touch about the work you're asking about.
• Impersonate a business or person you're not, or create a page for a business that doesn't exist.
• Automate or abuse our forms, sign-in, or messaging — bots, scripted submissions, or anything meant to get around our rate limits.
• Do anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Moderation and taking things down

Anyone can report a page or a listing that looks wrong, spammy, or dishonest. When we get a report, we look into it and may hide or remove the page, listing, or account involved, or suspend it while we look. If we take something down, we'll tell the account it happened to why, though we won't always say who reported it.

No guarantee, and limits on our liability

hasfriends connects people who refer work to each other. We don't verify anyone's licenses, insurance, certifications, or the quality of their work, and we're not a party to any deal, quote, or job that comes out of an introduction made here. Use your own judgment before hiring or being hired.

hasfriends is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular amount of work or business. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of hasfriends is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.

Changes

We may change or discontinue features of hasfriends, and we may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we'll post a notice on this page and update the date at the top; for a significant change, we'll also try to email account holders. Continuing to use hasfriends after a change takes effect means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
