Common questions

How do I claim my page?

If someone referred you, hasfriends already made you a page. Open the link they sent, or find your page at yourbusiness.hasfriends.app, and tap “Claim this page.” We verify it's really you by phone or email before handing it over — nobody else can claim it in your place.

Someone listed me and I don't want to be there

If you have an account, go to Dashboard → How you're listed and hide yourself from that list, or report it if the details are wrong or you don't want to be on hasfriends at all — the person who listed you is never told who hid or reported it. If you don't have an account, use Report a page and tell us which one; unclaimed pages that shouldn't exist come down.

How do I delete my account, and what happens?

In the app or on the web: Account → Contact & data → Delete my account, then type DELETE to confirm. This cancels any subscription, and deletes your page, your photos, your friends list, and your account — right away, and it can't be undone.

Messages and introductions you sent or received stay for their normal 90 days, so the other side can still ask us to delete their copy. Your name.hasfriends.app address is held for 30 days in case you change your mind, then released. If you'd rather we did it, email hello@hasfriends.app from the account's sign-in address.

How do I get my data out?

From Contact & data (web) or Account → Contact & data (app), open Tools and request an export. We email you a link to a single file with your account, page, photos, friends list and private notes, where you're listed, your messages and introductions, and your receipts. The link works for 24 hours, and you can ask for a new one up to 3 times a day.

How do I cancel Pro?

It depends on where you bought it. Both are on the Plan screen (Account → Plan and billing):

  • Bought on the web (Stripe): tap Cancel renewal. Pro stays on until the end of the year you paid for, then your page goes back to Free — nothing is deleted.
  • Bought in the iPhone app (App Store): we can't cancel an App Store subscription for you. On the phone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → hasfriends, or use the Manage link on the Plan screen, which opens the same place.

My page address is wrong

Your name.hasfriends.app address is set when you claim or create your page, and there's no self-serve way to change it yet. Email hello@hasfriends.app with the address you have and the one you'd rather have, and we'll sort it out.

I'm being messaged by someone I don't want to hear from

Open the message in your Inbox and block the sender — they won't be able to message you again, though they can still see your page. You can also add a phone number or email directly from Contact & data. If a message feels like spam, a scam, or abuse, forward it to hello@hasfriends.app and tell us what happened.
